Fudge has been in Rachel Rainey’s family for three generations. Her grandmother made and sold fudge at the family apple orchard in Muncie, IN. Her mom owned a fudge store in Carmel, IN. About 5 years ago, Rachel decided to give it a go herself. Now she’s making the same fudge her grandmother made. So she knows fudge.
Lucky you. (Are you salivating yet?)
With 3 kiddos running around, Rachel appreciates the flexibility of running her own business. The fudgery allows her to have a very active role in her littles ones’ school, sports, and other activities. Every mama’s dream. Also, owning the business has opened up many opportunities for Rachel to be involved in her local community as a community leader. She says, “I love working with our local Chamber of Commerce to bring interest to our town.”
How very Backroads Market-y of her.
3 Chicks Fudgery Products
Rachel’s fudge is inspired by the seasons. She participates in two local farmers markets, and she gets pumped about the seasonal produce. Strawberry fudge in the spring? Watermelon fudge in the summer? Wait for it–Caramel apple pie and pumpkin pie fudge in the fall?
We’re in. Backroads Market is all in.
Her favorite, though, (and also her best-seller) is the salted caramel fudge. Since we can vouch for it, we are telling you to run, don’t walk, to Backroads Market on October 7 and get you some. If you’ve ever wanted to know what Heaven tastes like, we’re pretty sure this is it.
But you know the drill. To get your hands on it while enjoying a beautiful autumn day with family and friends amid country views and the Ohio River, you have to come to the Market.
See you there!
