Vendor Spotlight: Scents Melt My Heart

Scents Melt My Heart is one of the many talented vendors who will be attending Backroads Market in Leavenworth, Indiana on October 7, 2017.Love having a yummy smelling house?  Then you’re going to crush hard on Scents Melt My Heart and the owner/creator of these incredible candles.

Cynthia Griffith loves to laugh.  For her, there’s nothing better than good fun and belly laughs.  Except maybe scents.

Though she’s always been interested in candle-making, Cynthia went full-tilt in 2009 when she stopped smoking (good for her!).  To keep her hands busy, she started making candles as a hobby, which makes us just as lucky as she is that she kicked a bad habit and started a good one.

Cynthia adores her wonderful customers and is filled with excitement at watching her business grow.  She loves that this business has helped her form new friendships and helped her family grow closer.  In fact, her husband and children jump in and help when she has big orders and/or deadlines, so it’s become a great way for them to spend time together.

Cynthia  is inspired by fragrances.  “The nose triggers memories,” she says, and we know it to be true. How many times have you smelled a certain scent and been transported back to childhood or an important event in your life?  Cynthia tries to put those memories into candles for you that you can burn any time.

Though she has 20 best-selling candles, Cynthia’s favorite scent is Warm Maple Syrup.  We can certainly understand that.  It wouldn’t be too bad to have your house smelling like breakfast all the time.  Some of her other scents include Frosted Pumpkin, Blueberry Cobbler, Harvest Homecoming, Persimmon Pudding & Snicker Doodle!  How can you not buy one of each?  We couldn’t possibly decide!

You can follow Scents Melt My Heart on Facebook, but you really should come and see Cynthia on Saturday.  As you’re walking through Backroads Market on October 7, if you smell something delicious and wonder what it is, you’re probably close to Cynthia’s booth.  Stop by and take home a memory.

See you there!
