Vendor Spotlight: Primitive Junq

Mike McBride’s interest in making primitive awesomeness got a down-home country boy type of start.  In fact, it all began when he was a boy, pulling vines for other crafters.

So yeah, he has experience in the making world from way back.  His favorite thing is finding cool embellishments to adorn his pieces, and if you visit his booth at Backroads Market, you will agree wholeheartedly.

Primitive Junq is one of the many talented vendors who will be attending Backroads Market in Leavenworth, Indiana on October 7, 2017.

Living in the boondocks helps his creativity, though he admits that he mostly just listens to whatever he can tune in while he’s working.  We hear ya, Mike.  It’s a Backroads thing.

Though running a maker show can definitely be a feast or famine thing, Mike loves that his business has sparked not only his own creativity, but that of his children.  (We see a family tradition coming here, and how can you not love that?)

Mike creates lots of very cool stuff that you won’t be able to walk away from, but his favorites are the grapevine trees.  They’re fun to create and his customers love them, too.

Mike is looking forward to meeting you when you come to the Market on October 7, so make sure you stop by his booth and get something awesome to take home with you.

See you there!
